The brand in type
Ørsted's brand identity is encapsulated by our typeface. The letters' powerful forward movement reflects our determination and progressive outlook, while the soft lines provide an inviting human touch. The typeface is the basis for our logo, and its very appearance should by synonymous with our brand.
Orsted Sans comes in four weights, making it versatile enough to meet any design or communication challenge.
The typeface has a wealth of built-in features that make typographical work easy, with no need to borrow characters from other fonts.
It includes all standard symbols and special Latin characters, including a full set of arrows. Meanwhile numerical characters are mono-spaced, giving unit columns a consistent width when presenting financial information or other number data. Finally, each font size includes subscripts for writing chemical formulas like CO2.
Ørsted is a company with a global vision. It is important to be able to communicate on-brand in all our different markets. For any non-Latin scripts, for example Chinese, Japanese and Korean, we use Google’s Noto font family. Orsted Sans is an Ørsted trademark. Ørsted trademarks may only be used by Ørsted and 100%-owned Ørsted companies. They must not be used for marketing purposes by a third party or for third party business without written approval from Ørsted.
